Arrival in Buenos Aires, reception and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Buenos AiresAfter breakfast, a half day city tour including visits to La Boca, San Telmo, 9 de Julio Avenue and the Obelisk, Colon Theatre, Puerto Madero and La Recoleta. Return to your hotel. Option of a dinner and Tango Show at La Esquina Carlos Gardel, the foremost tango house in Buenos Aires.
Day 3: PampasFull day Fiesta Gaucha Excursion, visiting a typical "estancia" in the pampas. Return to your hotel.
Day 4: Buenos Aires - Puerto MadrynAfter breakfast, flight to Trelew. Arrival to Trelew and transfer to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
Day 5: Valdes PeninsulaFull day excursion to the Peninsula Valdes. Peninsula Valdes is a site of global significance for the conservation of marine mammals. It is home to an important breeding population of the endangered southern right whale as well as important breeding populations of southern elephant seals and southern sea lions. The orcas (killer whales) in this area have developed a unique hunting strategy to adapt to local coastal conditions and come very close to beaching themselves whilst hunting for seals.
Day 6: Valdes PeninsulaExcursion to Punta Tombo penguin colony, the largest Magellanic penguin colony in the world, followed by a visit to the welsh colony at Gaiman. Founded by welsh settlers in the 19th century, this quaint little town resembles a town stuck in time with several welsh tea houses and the Bethel chapel taking you back a century.
Day 7: Trelew - UshuaiaTransfer to the airport for the flight to Ushuaia. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world, on the shores of the Beagle Channel and surrounded by the Martial Mounts. It is the capital of the Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and Southern Atlantic Islands Province, and allows you to enjoy sea, mountains and forests at the same time.
Day 8: Tierra del Fuego National ParkExcursion to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. A subantartic forest covers the region up to 600m above sea level. Trip to the "black" lake. A round trip tour on the 'end of the world' train traveling through the National Park itself. In the afternoon a navigation by boat into the Beagle Channel. Return to your hotel.
Day 9: Tierra del Fuego National ParkAfter breakfast, excursion to the north of Ushuaia for a visit to Lago Escondido and Lago Fagnano.
Day 10: Ushuaia - El CalafateAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to El Calafate. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. El Calafate is the site of the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the most dramatic natural sites left on earth.
Day 11: Perito Moreno GlacierFull day excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier, the largest advancing glacier in the world. Walk along footpaths and balconies to reach this incredible phenomenon.
Day 12: Upsala GlacierBoat trip to visit the Upsala, Onelli and Spegazzini Glaciers one after another.
Day 13: El Calafate - Buenos AiresAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Buenos Aires.
